Service Requests:
If you are in need of our maintenance staff, you may either call or visit the Kingsborough office during business hours and let us know. Any after hour maintenance requests can be made through our answering service by dialing 264-2304. Any maintenance issues you may have should be addressed within 24 hours, if your concern has not been taken care of in that period of time ple

Filter Replacement :
Our maintenance staff will enter your apartment home 2 to 3 times a year to change your air filters for you! They will post a note on your door letting you know the date and approximate time they will be entering your apartment to change your filters.

Garbage Disposal :
Always run your disposal with cold water. Hot water will make the motor get too hot and possibly overheat. It is a good idea to run the garbage disposal each time you start your dishwasher. Occasionally run a few ice cubes to keep you blades sharp. If your garbage disposal has a smell, grind up a lemon or two. The acid in the lemon can help kill some bacteria.

Dishwasher :
It is best if you load the top rack of your dishwasher with cups and glasses and your bottom rack with plates and pans. Try not to load anything too tall or the water supply could be blocked. Use only detergent or liquid specifically for dishwashers.

Central Heat & Air :
Please verify that all of your vents have free flowing air. Adjust the temperature to your liking, by maneuvering the switch on the top of the thermostat to the temperature you desire. It is usually best if you adjust the bottom left switch to auto. The bottom right switch controls whether your thermostat is on heat or cool.

Pest Control :
Village Park at Kingsborough routinely exterminates in order to prevent pest infestation. A few days prior to extermination a notice will be given to you or posted to your door. However, if you find a pest control problem in your apartment home, please contact the office. We will then schedule you in for the next extermination visit.

Moving Out :
Thank you for making your home with us! At some point it may be necessary for you to move out of your new apartment home. While we know you will love it here, sometimes circumstances arise and we are left with no other alternative. When you signed your rental agreement, you entered into a binding, legal document that states that you will live in the apartment for a specific period of time. Your rental agreement, as well as, Kansas law requires that you give a 30-day written notice prior to the expiration of your lease agreement if you do not intend to stay in the apartment. If you wish to stay, you may renew your agreement. Should you not notify Kingsborough prior to your lease expiration, your lease will continue on a month to month basis at the market rate with an additional premium of $100 per month. Everyone wants to get his or her deposit back fully and promptly. In order for that to take place, here are some guidelines that are required by Kingsborough:

1. Clean your apartment home.
2. Remove all trash and furniture.
3. Turn in your keys.
4. Complete and sign a move out inspection with the office.
